Castillo de la Estrella is a high-cathegory oil, fruit of its dedicated bet to elaborate a product that satisfies the most demanding expectation. In order to achieve that, they use olives from their own olive trees. During the harvest, they carefully examine both the method and the time. They only pick the olives from the trees with procedures that damage nor the olive or the olive tree, and they chose the optimum timing, before excesive ripening softens the smells and changes the flavour. Finally, they remove the juice with the most strict care, only the olives from the tree, in cold and with purely mechanical procedures. The result is an extra virgin olive oil with a green-golden colour, fruity smell and strong taste that preserves the qualities of the nobility of its origin.
In Castillo de la Estrella, they have always taken good care of every element that is part of their oil: the care of the olive trees, the harvest, manufacture and package —always respecting the tradition they are so proud of. As a result of this effort and dedication, the Council of Málaga awarded them with the prize Premio al Mejor Aceite de Oliva Virgen Extra de la Provincia de Málaga, Cosecha 2012-2013, Frutado Medio.
